Is there a way to tie lists to single instances of objects? I want a particular object to be listed differently before and after an action when it appears in a room, but I can't see how to modify the generic list suffix/prefix in such a way that it doesn't affect all objects in a room's content list. Hello, How do IF authors typically approach the problem of dividing a game into multiple episodes? The simplest way of doing this, I suppose, would be to create a separate game for each episode, but there seems to be a lot of repetition of data in this approach. I6 parsing bug (short name length)

This took me about an hour to figure out. It's nasty. When you have a routine in a verb definition, it restricts the total length of your your nouns' short names to three words or less. I7: how to get a numeric noun / second noun from a stored action?

Hi all, I have an action that applies to one noun and one number. It then becomes a stored action. Later, I want to print that action's number: say the second noun part of stored-act; ...but I get 0 back. OK, Appendix B says "noun part" and "second noun part" are of type object, so returning a number isn't typesafe. I... más »
